the isolated Keeper's House Inn Bed and Breakfast. The Inn
is reachable by mailboat, and beckons the adventurous to the
wilderness of Acadia National Park, the seafood connoisseur,
the lighthouse enthusiast, as well as the environmentally
conscious. The Keeper's House Inn is surrounded by
wilderness and island beauty. From our walkway to the
lighthouse, you will experience four lighthouses glowing
through the evening. By day, only the sails of windjammers
and the beauty of porpoises and seals interrupt the vast
ocean views. There is no electricity, phone service or
development to distract from the magnificence of the island.
Guest spend their days exploring Acadia National Park or
relaxing at this unique lighthouse inn. We offer eco tours
of the lighthouse station's photovoltaic systems, windmill
and peat bog gardens and education about the recycling
systems. Guests enjoy a hearty breakfast and gourmet seafood
dinner almost daily. |
